Martina

Martina Smejkalova was born in 1976 and grew up in the former Czechoslovakia. Martina has worked with different materials and is skilled in a variety of art techniques and crafts, including drawing, painting, sculpturing, graphic techniques, textile art, and sewing.

Martina moved to the US and married a musician in 2005. At this time music became a very big part of her life, which is evident in her musical portraits.  Martina’s move to the US prompted her work with acrylic. Martina has had her work displayed at The Art Alliance of Monmouth County, The Belmar Arts Council, The Burlington County Library, Toms River branch of the Ocean County Library and various businesses throughout New Jersey, New York and the Czech Republic.
